Peanut Butter Banana Cream Bites

Peanut Butter Banana Cream Bites

Here’s a quick and very easy recipe to make a nice cold bite-size treat. I saw this one pop up on pinterest this week and wanted to give it a try. It seemed easy enough, with minimal ingrediants, and produced tiny bite-sized treats in the end. I’m always looking for snack food so this one is a bit of an indulgence – chocolate and all.

Those who know me know that I don’t actually like chocolate AT ALL. But these were great! The flavor combo of chocolate, bananas, and peanut butter is super.

I used organic bananas and peanut butter in making it.

First, I spread waxed paper on my kitchen counter, in the end I cut it up in small slices so I could move them easy to my tiny freezer. You can also use a baking sheet to move them, but my freezer isn’t large enough for that.

Slice bananas into coins about 1/2–3/4 inch thick.

Spread a little dollop of peanut butter on top of each one.

In a small bowl, combine the chocolate chips and milk. Place the bowel over a pan of boiling water and whisk together as the chocolate melts.

Dip the banana chunks using a fork, dipping them into the melted chocolate or using a spoon to pour chocolate over them. Place chocolate coated bananas on the sheets.

Place in freezer until completely frozen (3–5 hours). Remove frozen banana chunks from the sheet and store in a plastic bag.  They will keep in the freezer up to a month. Enjoy your cold sweet bite-sized treat!
